- Can an Employment Agency charge me for helping me find work?
Employment agencies are prohibited from charging you (the caregiver) for help in finding a job.
Employment agencies cannot require you to pay for the following services:
Submitting your application for a job to an employer;
Arranging for you to be hired by an employer; or
Providing you with information about possible jobs.
Employment agencies can charge employers for the recruitment of a caregiver. However, employers
cannot transfer that cost onto the caregiver.
- Are there other services for which an employment agency can charge?
Employment agencies may charge caregivers for services such as resume writing and interview
preparation. However, employment agencies cannot require caregivers to pay for such services as a
condition of finding them a job.
